Significant TCRA Rule Book Changes
2005-2006 Show Year
-
Additional or new horses added to a membership after the initial member’s application is received, must be registered with TCRA for points. This notification must be sent to the TCRA Membership Secretary (Amy Haines) via the United States Postal Service’s mail. The additional/new horse(s) effective date for points is the date of the postmark.
-
For all competitors in the "Pre" divisions, they are now allowed to ride in other divisions in under saddle classes.
-
For TCRA rule purposes, height of fences for a division/class is considered to be the height stated in the prize list, not the actual height that may have been run at a show. If the prize list did not state a height for a division/class, the height is considered to be the maximum height for that division/class.
-
10 and Under Equitation Division- Eliminated the allowance for a pleasure class from this division
-
TCRA Junior Medal class can now be run with a minimum of three competitors.
-
TCRA Equitation Classic - This classic is now open to the Reserve Champions of the Junior and Adult Open Eq. Medal Finals. Former Open Medal Champion and Reserve Finalists only need to be a current TCRA member to compete in this classic.
-
Jumper divisions are no longer earning championship points towards TCRA year end awards.
-
Documentation was deleted from section VII. DIVISION SPECIFICATIONS for Maiden, Novice and Limit divisions as those divisions are not TCRA pointed for year end awards, and it was confusing to members. A note concerning novice eligibility was added to section III which was renamed from NOVICE & LIMIT EQUITATION to EXHIBITOR’S STATUS.
-
Documentation was made more readable by listing divisions and classes by category and height within each category of Equitation, Hunter and Pleasure, and Jumper Divisions.
-
Stakes classes are no longer required for hunter divisions, though they are encouraged.
